+This is the best Thai joint in Weston+ [Forget about the other place (which I won't name) - this one is more authentic and doesn't drown all their dishes in sugar.] This is definitely our go-to spot for Thai in Weston. Their curries are all rich and full

This was a last minute, late night, dinner decision after a long evening at Ikea. And boy did it deliver! Small restaurant in a strip mall and I was craving some Pad Thai. We had some steamed gyoza which was very tasty. The meat filling was amazing. I obviously ordered the pad thai with some chicken. AH, it was perfect. Filled with flavor and smoking hot (in a good way). Wish they would have had some lime to squeeze on the side but it was perfect just the way it came. My sister ordered some sushi that came with a yellow sauce, wow! it was very fresh and oh so tasty. Great Thai restaurant, can use some maintenance as far as floors and bathrooms but food is absolutely perfect. If I am in the area again I will, without a doubt, return and recommend to others.

For context, I live across the street from this place, literally, and I've ordered from this place a number of times in the past 3 years - i just overlooked it's shortcomings in lue of distance, but from now on I'd rather drive 3 to 5 miles up the road for my Pad Thai fix. The prices aren't in line with the quality or portion size. Chicken Pad thai is listed for $10.95; Shrimp Pad Thai is listed for $13.95, and combo with all meat (including shrimp) is listed for $14.95. But I ordered chicken and shrimp only and they charged me $15.95???!!! And always check your bag before leaving. Too many short orders and missing sauces to remember and no excuse since there were only 2 customers in the restaurant. I'll go to Moon Thai or Miyoko instead.

Good food! Service is good. The sushi is fresh and cut just perfect. The rolls are filling! I'll be back next time!

There's nothing pretentious about Thai Garlic & Sushi. If your looking to be seen, find another place to eat. There's also nothing particularly adventurous about the menu. And the restaurant looks like it was last redecorated in the 70's. But everything is clean. The service is good. Prices good. And most importantly of all.... THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT!! Especially the pad thai and curry dishes.

Small and nice setting but the food wasn't all that great, neither was the service. Food didn't have any flavor or spice, decent servings though. Felt a little rushed while dinning and they even started heavily cleaning while we ate (the whole place smelled of cleaning products, not tasty). I would pass.

Really good! My dad had the meat and said it was insanely tasty. I ordered the ramen soup which was very good and big! Nice environment with tranquil music. I would recommend.

Great find! Positives: The fish was extremely fresh!! Very well prepared dishes that were both pleasing to the eye and palate. Attentive and friendly service. AMAZINGLY GOOD PRICES for the amount and quality of food ordered. Negatives: Not the most romantic nook and the chef was a bit slow with the food. But these two items are very minor.

I stopped by for lunch one day and was greatly disappointed with their service and food. When I walked in - no one acknowledged or greeted me. I ordered from the lunch menu that included the typical soup or salad sides - I chose the salad. When the waitress\or owner passed by, she literally almost threw my salad onto the table while still walking towards another table to attend. The lunch was served and there was nothing special about the food. By the time the bill came I was looking forward to leaving the place. Yes, this place serves Thai food like most other restaurants. In this case their food does not stand out and my experience in the service was just bad.

I was once a regular customer. When I say regular I mean at least once a week or more. I would visit for lunch and dinner depending on the day. The owners were always friendly and the waiter knew my order by heart. I have stopped going since September 2011 because of the way a situation was handled. I ordered my regular meal with brown rice. After eating half of my rice and dinner I went back for seconds of the rice. I noticed small black specs throughout. I had noticed them at first but brushed it off to the grain part of brown rice. After closer examination I noticed they were actually small black bugs and LOTS of them. As soon as I realized I waited for the waiter to approach us and showed him. He showed concern and quickly took the bowl to show both owners. All the while I kept the incident on the down low. The place was busy and I honestly cared what others would think. The owners looked, went in the kitchen, came out and sat back down. No apology, no acknowledgement, no nothing. We get the bill and they charged me FULL PRICE for my meal. This along with the fact that they did not even attempt to say sorry or offer to replace my meal is reason enough not to return. When I say I was a regular ... The owner knew me so well she would notice and compliment a new haircut if I got one. Or ask how my son was doing. We have decided to not return not because of the bugs but because of the way they handled it. Some days are harder than others because the curry is some of the best I have ever had but now we drive 15 minutes to Plantation for curry at "Thai Thai" on Broward Blvd and Pine Isalnd.

Since this was my first stop here I decided to go with both the Thai and Japanese experience. I ordered a Rainbow Roll which was tasty and fresh. Yumm! The portion was also pretty generous. No mini-rolls here! As for the main course I ordered a Thai dish. It was the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Again, the portion was generous and the ingredients were fresh. My only qualm is that it was *not* spicy. So if your into spicy check the menu a little closer for guidance or better yet ask you server about making your food spicy. Also, the sauce used was bland. The sauce used for the platter could use a little more zing. The service was as one would expect when dining out no matter the establishment. Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely would take or recommend the place to another person.

The first time I ate here I was a little apprehensive. The place did have a slight but strange smell and it just didn't feel super clean. The food was decent but nothing special. We went a second time and in addition to the slight smell there was a huge and I mean huge roach on the ceiling in the middle of the dinning room just hanging out above other customers table. This was the biggest damn roach I have seen, like it was jacked up on off road tires. It just sat there watching everyone waiting to make its move. I very quietly told the waitress and she said it must have come from next door. Maybe it did, I don't know but it sure seemed comfortable where it was. I am not saying this place is dirty or this one instance indicates a bigger issue but for me it is enough to keep me from going back. If they clean up the place a bit and make it smell clean/fresh and start posting their food inspection reports I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. If that happens please let me know.

This is the best Thai food I have tried. I come here very often and all of their dishes are excellent. Both their Thai and Japanese food is outstanding. Try anything and you will love it.

For about a year, I've been taking my grandmother lunch twice a week. Once a week I pick up Thai garlic's salmon lunch special for her. My grandmother loves it and the staff is wonderful. I love their Pad Thai and sushi. Good quality food and awesome service.

STAY AWAY! Just stopped by to have a late lunch with my son. First off it had a weird smell but I figured I would stay and eat since my son wanted sushi. We waited over 40 minutes they bought my son the most horrible kids sushi I have ever seen! I immediately told the waitress whom replies by well you still have to pay it for it, mind you I never asked for any credit I was worried about my son eating. She then insists on packing it for me After I continously told her to just trash it. I Ordered something else for my son which took another 30 minutes. The complete experience in this empty restaurant took 2 hours! The food awful and the service even worse! Please skip it!

The double sushi-shashmi platter is outstanding! :)

Judging by the reviews I was really optimistic about eating here. I met my husband at 11:50 for lunch (if you only have an hour lunch break, definitely order to go) there were 3 other tables seated already and eating. We ordered a sushi roll and two lunch specials. Our roll took about 10-15 minutes to come out and it was pretty tasty, but not any better than anywhere else I have been. The place quickly filled up about 15 minutes after we arrived. It has the capacity of about 50 people. We watched 2 other tables receive their starters and meals ahead of us. At 12:40 I finally asked for our food to go, she said okay it will be right out. I didnt end up leaving after paying until almost 12:50 and had not eaten my meal yet. I find an hour to get lunch to be an acceptable amount of time for most places. If I had walked in after the rush did I would have expected this or gone somewhere else. I had the Thai Sweet and Sour chicken at my desk, it was good, but nothing to get excited about. So if you live or work near here, get there early or have plenty of time for lunch. Better yet, just go some where else.

Portions are perfect and the food is scrumptious. I went with a couple of co-workers for lunch. The only complaint we had was that it took them about 15-20 minutes to get us our food once we put in our order. The wait was a little more than what we were used to but it was definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is small but our waitress was very agreeable. We were happy with our experience overal.

Myself and my coworkers visit this place on weekly basis. They offer amazing sushi and great fresh Thai dishes. I love the freshness of all the vegetables they incorporate into their menu. The green and red Curry are my weekly addiction. This place gets really packed it during lunch so if possible just call in your order. We have never had a problem getting a table during lunch as long as you pre-order and get there at a respectable time after ordering. A good restaurant will always be busy I don't understand why people criticize a restaurants about waiting time.

I have been to Thai Garlic and Sushi often and most of the time the rolls are very good. Unfortunately our last visit was something worth writing about. We ordered two Mango Rolls which are usually very good because of the MANGOES!! Both rolls came without the fresh mangoes. We asked the waitress, who informed us that mangoes were not in season. It would have been nice had she mentioned that before placing our order. Of course no compensation was offered. The most distrubing experience was that they added the tip when we were only a party of five, most restaurants add gratuity with 6 or more in your party. The bad news doesn't end here. We gave them our credit card and when the waitress came back for a signature there was another smaller receipt stapled to the orginal copy she first brought covering the words "gratuity included" this was stamped after the fact. The smaller receipt was covering it. The smaller receipt attached had a space for gratuity AGAIN but the gratuity was on the second receipt. This in my opinion is very deceptive and sneaky. You can easily tip twice!! Especially how your bill is presented and if you are busy having a conversation, etc. So beware of double tipping at this place!!! Wish I had taken a photo, would have posted it.

Good but not great. First time here so decided to try both Thai and sushi. Started with two Ahi appetizers suggested by our waiter. Tuna tataki and spicy tuna and avacado. Both had nice presentation but the tataki was not fresh and the spicy tuna and avacado, while tasty because of the sauce, had very little tuna and again did not seem fresh. As for the main dishes we ordered Massaman curry, Swimming angel, Pad thai and NY steak from the grill. All very tasty and good size portions, plenty left for lunch the next day. As I said "tasty" but no more so than most other Thai restaurants. To sum this up, there is much better sushi close by and as Thai goes, I am willing to drive a little longer to find better.

A decent sushi restaurant right in my back yard! Hmmm, totally unexpected. I might turn into a regular here. Nice, quiet and good quality food. We ordered chicken satays for an app (It was meh, not really ordering them again, it was a little dry), but the rolls were solid and the selection from the sushi bar was sizeable. Will definitely come again, I mean come on, I can practically walk here.
(4)Daniel G.
Killer Thai and Sushi! We ate here 2 nights in a row. Small cozy place with very friendly employees. Chicken Pad Thai is the best! Ate tuna sashimi as well and it was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Lauren M.
Good service and prices, great place for lunch. Menu is $5-$15 or so. Good sushi
(3)Cindy R.
just ate there today and the food and service was excellent. I ordered the Wonton soup, Fried Chicken Gyoza and Thai Red Curry Chicken and each dish was delicious in it's own way. I love Thai food and am always on the lookout for an Authentic Thai Restaurant and I have to say that this one is definitely a 5 star for me. Even the sauce they served with the Fried dumplings was different from any sauce I've ever tasted at other Thai Restaurants. The sauce was perfectly balanced...not vinegary and not salty but rich in flavor. The customer service was excellent and the place was attractive and very clean. I intend to spread the word about this quaint, authentic and delicious restaurant! Try it...you just might love it!

I saw the review on yelp. Never reviewed a restaurant before. However this place is great. Food is delicious and service is fantastic. Hope they stay in business.

Came here with my girlfriend and her son in search of good curry, and we found it. I had panang, she had the green, and both were excellent. Kids' menu is not nearly as extensive as the regular menu, but the food is still great. Portions were big, especially considering the price. The staff is as kind and attentive as one could hope for. This is my new favorite restaurant in Weston - and well beyond there.

We were looking for something close for a quick lunch prior to an engagement at the New River Civic Center. This little restaurant was a walking distance away. Very pleasant waitstaff. The sashimi was really fresh. The Tom Yom seafood soup was not overly spiced and was just a nice refreshing taste with the cilantro. My husband enjoyed his Pad Thai as well and he usually does not hesitate to criticize bad food. I would recommend this place to anyone having a desire for some raw fish with a side of Thai.
(5)Nicole B.
Love them! My fiancee and I must order from them once a week! They know my order by heart and they're always very friendly! They used to deliver, which was amazing!!!!!!!!!, but now they've stopped so thats a bummer. I always order the Crunchy Tuna Tuna Roll with masago! Yum!! :)

WARNING!!!!!! STOLEN CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!!!! Just got a call from Wells Fargo Credit Card Fraud Dept... They are on top of it. The last time I used my card was at this Thai Garlic and Sushi spot... I don't even live in Sunrise. The next transaction (which was not me) was for Island Sunrise and the following two transactions were for airline tickets; one on JetBlue and one on United or US Air (forget what the girl said). Luckily, right away I knew that was fraud because I use my DELTA Amex for Airlines. Anyway, wanted to give everyone a heads up. I think they wrote my credit card number down and went to town!!!!!!! WONT EVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! I WILL TELL EVERYONE I CAN!!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!! Here's the spots info *****AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!******* Thai garlic & sushi 116 Weston Road Sunrise, FL 33326

Highly recommend Massaman curry!! Great Thai food. Very authentic. Thai donuts are absolutely delicious, must try for dessert!
(5)Eunice F.
convenient location with parking. service was friendly and they had a wide range of thai/japanese food on the menu. i wouldn't say any of the food is authentic, but the flavors were good in the green curry and pad thai dishes we ordered. Portions were a little on the smaller side but overall it was pretty good.
(3)Sebastian M.
Decent food. Curry is good, but not great. Service is somewhat slow. Not wort it in my opinion, there are better thai restaurants than this one.
(2)Max B.
Not sure what is the big deal about this place. It's not bad but definitely not worth 5 stars for sure! The food (both Japanese/Thai) is average, nothing extra ordinary, I think perhaps because this is one of the only Thai places around this part of Sunrise that people like it. There are better options in Nearby Weston as well as Davie.
(2)Chris W.
This is by far the best thai food I have had in S Florida. Everything tasted fresh. Great service. Don't let the location fool you.
(5)Michael C.
For a neighborhood Thai restaurant in Sunrise, this place is pretty good! Their panang curry is actually the most flavorful I have had in South Florida, and I no longer have to leave the neighborhood to enjoy some decent Thai food. The prices are super reasonable for the portion size, and while the restaurant is nothing remarkable in atmosphere, it is very clean. Finally, a good Thai restaurant (or restaurant in general) in the Weston/Sunrise area!
(4)Tyler P.
This place is horrible! We sat there for an hour and 45 minutes and paid $70 for 4 rolls and a miso soup. I've never seen such horrible service in my life. We only ordered sushi rolls and it took forever. The portions are so small and everything is so expensive. I will NEVER be eating there again!
(1)Brian S.
I ate here in December based on existing good yelp reviews and definitely enjoyed it. Good selection of your standard Thai dishes along with a bit of Japanese and sushi if you're looking for variety. The best thing we had was the cashew ginger salmon, but the pad thai and panang curry were quite tasty as well!
(4)Sam H.
Excellent, fresh, tasty, and fast Thai Food! This is our local spot very good and consistent, I recommend to anyone and you won't be disappointed. I usually get the Garlic Sauce with chicken and it is always very good. Veggie Naruto is also very good!!!
(4)Bruno T.
Friendly service. Fresh-tasting food. Great lunch specials. Pad Woon Sen was particularly good.
(4)David C.
I love this little thai and sushi restaurant. I have order take out several times and all the dishes are delicious. I particularly like the Pad Thai, prices are low when compared with similar restaurants in the area.
(5)Shoba S.
The food was delicious. Very generous portions, very casual atmosphere and attentive server. Great food for a great price! Would definitely eat here again.
(4)Ross D.
Went here for lunch after reading reviews and maybe I caught them on a bad day, but it was an unmitigated disaster. Only about five of the 12 tables there were occupied when we arrived for a Tuesday lunch, so I wasn't expecting things to get crazy. But there was only one lady serving and when it filled up after we got there, it was chaos. One lady for 12 tables is no bueno. We ordered a sushi starter and two simple dishes. Sushi came after 10-15 mins. Was decent but nothing special. We waited and waited and waited for our entrees but after 40 minutes we had to ask for them to go as we had to get back to work. In the meantime, people who got there long after us had got their entrees for some reason. I actually felt bad for the other folks who got there long after us. No way they were getting in and out in less than an hour. Food was reasonable tasty out of my polystyrene box but very disappointed.
(2)Shannon D.
Hands down freshest sushi in weston. Hot thai and japanese dishes are delicious as well. The employees are very nice and attentive. Great lunch specials and they always get take out orders right and it's ready in no time.
(5)Luz C.
The chicken stir fried rice was so good. Service was fast & pleasant. A friend and I split the bill and it was less than $23 between the two of us!
(5)Evelin B.
Delicious, fast and fresh food for a very good price during lunch hours. The curry is so creamy, delicious and a spicy/sweet flavor. It is to die for. Sushi is equally delicious and fresh.
(4)Roberto D.
One Of the hidden gems of Weston and one of the Best sushis and Thai in town. Every dish I've tried has been great. Not the fifth star because service can be slow. Not good for larger groups.
(4)Mandius J.
Food was outstanding, however when we arrived we were greeted with the waitress saying "you need to order now the kitchen is closed." She stared at us the whole meal as if to hurry us along. And then was very slow when we asked for the check and gave us the wrong amount of change shorted us by $10. Service before the previous times I had gone had been awesome and so was food. Maybe we just hit it on a bad night.
(3)Carl A.
Nondescript store front in small typical Florida strip mall. Had excellent coconut soup and very good curry. Excellent service and dirt cheap. Actually in Westin/Sunrise area, not Lauderdale. If we're nearby we would happily go there again
(5)Tom I.
Food and service were great, authentic thai food with just right portion. Had pad thai, pad siu, chicken on skewer (awesome!)....all great. I haven't tried sushi yet but they looked nice. The ladies working there were so nice and attentive. Making sure we got what we want, even let me order food not listed on menus. Good staff! It's very low key and a little sticky (one wise man told me the grade of good food could be measured by stickiness of table...) Parking is easy, right off 84 and weston road, unlike the main center of weston this is not so overwhelming and you can relax.
(4)John H.
We read a yelp review that they had the best sushi in Weston we agree very fresh and good sushi
(4)F K.
Fresh, delicious, super friendly staff. New fave for sure! Everything is amazing! Been there 3 times in 3 days and can't wait to go back!
(5)Kevin W.
Very good price, the venue itself is nothing spectacular and I would prefer this place for lunch. The chicken and rice was better then expected, miso too. Also the pad Thai here looked good.
